Bioinformatics and Systems Biology

 

 

Summary

Karen Pu is a PhD student in the Bioinformatics and Systems Biology (BISB) program. She graduated from Vanderbilt University majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Data Science and Biology. During her undergraduate, she worked in Dr. Jens Meiler's lab, where she utilize machine learning models and Rosetta to predict influenza escape mutants. In the Yeo lab, Karen is currently analyzing spatial RNA localization data at a synaptic level.

Outside of research, Karen enjoys cooking/baking, training Muay Thai, and playing electric guitar.
