Summary

Juan Lerma Jr. is a pre-medical undergraduate student majoring in human biology at UC San Diego. Under the guidance of Noorsher Ahmed, he is involved in a project that utilizes droplet microfluidics and directed evolution to engineer proteins that bind to specific targets. Upon graduation, he hopes to enroll in medical school and become an oncologist. Outside of school, he likes to hike, run, explore the outdoors, play the saxophone, watch movies and spend time with family.
