Summary

Jessica Octavio is a Microbiology major at San Diego State University. She was previously a member of the Rohwer Lab at SDSU’s Viral Information Institute, where she studied therapeutic applications of bacteriophages in cystic fibrosis. She was also a Clinical Research Intern at Cognoa, a digital therapeutics startup focusing on early intervention for kids with behavioral health conditions. In the Yeo Lab, Jessica is working with her mentor, Josh Schwartz, to study a form of autism called Kleefstra Syndrome.
