Summary

Jenny is an undergraduate student currently majoring in Cell and Molecular Biology at UCSD. She developed a love for biotechnology through managing the production of lab kits in UCSD’s Sciencebridge program during high school, and afterwards pursued a Certificate in Biotechnology at San Diego Miramar College. Prior to joining the Yeo Lab, Jenny assisted in the STAMP (Surveying Targets by APOBEC- Mediated Profiling) project as in undergraduate researcher in the Bennett Lab. Under the guidance of Norah Al-Azzam, she is currently involved in the CHMP7 Cell Raft project, which investigates the factors behind protein mislocalization in neurodegenerative diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Outside of the lab, Jenny is passionate about art, animation, mental health, and spicy foods.
