Grace McAuley
M.D./Ph.D Student
Biomedical Sciences Program and Medical Scientist Training Program
Summary
Grace is a current M.D. Ph.D. student in the Biomedical Sciences Program and Medical Scientist Training Program at UCSD and received a B.S. in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology from UCLA in 2020. After graduating from UCLA, she worked in the lab of Dr. Donald Kohn where she developed a novel adenine base editing gene therapy for CD3d severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID). In the Yeo Lab, Grace is investigating the role of adaptive immune cells in the central nervous system of ALS patients and, more broadly, the development of RNA-based therapeutics to treat human disease.
