Dr. Dominic Lee

Project Scientist

Summary

Dominic Lee received this PhD in at the National University of Singapore where under Prof Roger Foo at the Genome Institute of Singapore, he studied the role of chromatin architecture on gene regulation. Though cardiac specific in vivo deletion of DNA looping, his work details how cell specific DNA looping is important for enhancer-promoter interactions and insulates against aberrant ones. Prior to his, Dominic first worked as a patent executive at a law firm after he graduated from the University of Melbourne with an honours degree in Genetics. Through his time at GIS and his postdoctoral fellow at the Gene Yeo lab in Singapore and now in UCSD, Dominic is interested in the innovation and the application of novel technologies in finding solutions for urgent genetic diseases. Currently, he is working on a multi-omic solution to identifying genetic mutations on the single cell level in combining with both single cell RNA and proteomic pipelines.
